1. As of today there are only 45 days until Lucy and myself move back down to Virginia. I’m so excited.
2. I haven’t gained or lost any weight since the mini vacation. I’m pretty stoked. For the first time I am comfortable with where I am.
3. My baby is crawling. She is getting so big. I cannot believe she is seven months old already!!
4. I’m still missing my husband more than ever. I can’t believe it has been five months since he left. I can’t say when he is coming home, but I can assure you that the half way point has already happened.
5. Ugh, I hate to do this. On the negative side. I’m an adult making adult decisions. I do not need anyone to tell me what to do, who I can talk to and who I can be friends with, and how to live my life. SO sick of double standards.
Alright, that’s it with the negativity :)!
6. I’m loving this weather. I’m excited for hiking, camping, and just being able to spend the day outdoors.
7. I am SO excited for our new apartment. It is almost double the size of our last one. It also has a den which has been dubbed the MAN CAVE! The kitchen is it’s own little room and I have an area for a table. It is also only 10 minutes from the ocean, across the street from a hospital, and next to an elementary school. I cannot wait to decorate!!
8. On top of how awesome our apartment is, RIGHT around the corner is a Michael’s and a Total Wine. How perfect is THAT?
9. I don’t really know what to say to make this list go up to 10…
10. Done :)!
So, the calculator from Weight Watchers has been messed up. One part of the page tells me how much I lost that is correct and the other part is wrong. So, I fixed everything and now these results make more sense!
Weight loss the week of April 29th, 2012 - May 05th, 2012 : 2.0 lbs
Total weight loss: 44lbs!!
Only 19.6 lbs away from my goal weight :)!
May 2nd 1945: Fall of Berlin
On this day in 1945 during the Second World War, the Soviet Union announced the capture of Berlin. The Battle of Berlin was the final offensive in the European theatre of the war. As the Soviets advanced on the capital, German Chancellor Adolf Hitler retreated into his Führerbunker and on 30th April he and his wife Eva Braun committed suicide. Two days later Berlin’s defenders surrendered to the Soviets as they captured the Reichstag and famously raised a Soviet flag over the historic building. The photo above by Yevgeny Khaldei became famous as representative of the fall of Berlin and, for Soviets, the victory of the USSR.
Where is the beautiful weather? I have a jogging stroller, a baby carrier for hiking, and lots of time! I want to get out of this house and do fun things that don’t cost money. Our little peanut is getting so antsy lately. She definitely is going to have a tooth soon… I hope! She hasn’t slept through the night for two weeks and is chewing on everything. I can see the little teeth. They just need to poke through! She’s also able to sit up. She can’t pull herself up into the position but if I set her in it she does a pretty decent job not falling over. Her high pitch screams are the cutest thing. The woman at Kohl’s didn’t think so! I can’t believe when Zach left (Lucy was 10 weeks) Lucy was just starting to be able to support her head, was waking up every couple of hours, and was just 9 lbs! He is going to be so amazed when he comes home!!
I can’t wait to get back down to Virginia. We are going on a mini vacation in two weeks. It really is for an apartment hunt, but I’m excited. I need the ocean, fresh air, and a change of scenery. On the way up to New York we are going to be making a pit stop in Delaware and Pennsylvania so Lucy can meet that side of the family. I’m so excited for this. Then we only have a few more months left of this deployment. It’s crazy to think on May 3rd it will be 4 months since Zach left. We can’t wait to have him home.
